Home or shop: which receipts count for HRA
HRA is an allowance for the home an employee lives in, so only rent for a house, flat or room helps a tenant's tax claim. A Gujarati receipt for a shop or godown is still good practice, and the same format works for it, but the tenant cannot use it for HRA. Write "દુકાન" (shop) and the shop's address in the property line so the two are never mixed up.

What does a Gujarati rent receipt need for HRA?
Tenant and landlord names, address, amount, period, payment mode and date, and the landlord's signature. Add the landlord's PAN if yearly rent is above ₹1,00,000.
Can I print the amount in Gujarati digits?
You can write them by hand, but ordinary digits are safer. They match the bank or UPI record and every payroll team reads them.
