Rent reminder message in Gujarati (ભાડાની યાદ અપાવતો મેસેજ)

Write a Gujarati rent reminder the way you would speak to the tenant: નમસ્તે, their name with ભાઈ or બેન, then the month, the ભાડું (rent), the last date and your UPI ID. These four Gujarati templates cover a friendly reminder, a firm follow-up, a final message and a thank-you after payment.
Addressing your tenant in Gujarati
Gujarati speakers usually join ભાઈ (bhai) or બેન (ben) to a first name, as in "Mehulભાઈ" or "Priyaબેન", whatever the person's age. It is warm and respectful at once, which suits a rent message. Some families greet people they know with જય શ્રી કૃષ્ણ; the templates use નમસ્તે, which works for everyone. Use તમે or આપ for "you".

Friendly Gujarati reminder before the due date
Keep ભાઈ or બેન, delete the other, and fill in the month, amount and date. Send it a couple of days before rent is due, when most salaries have arrived.

Firm Gujarati follow-up when rent is late
Seven days after the due date, be clear about the delay, the dates you reminded the tenant and the date in the agreement. Ask for a written reply. Businesslike wording usually gets a faster answer than an emotional one.

Final Gujarati message
Only for rent that is badly overdue after several reminders. It names a last date and says the next step is legal advice. Keep threats out of it: no talk of cutting power, changing locks or telling the tenant's employer. Our guide to a tenant not paying rent covers the lawful route.

Gujarati thank-you once rent is received
A short thank-you the same day confirms the payment in writing. For a signed receipt, copy or print the Gujarati rent receipt format.

Small things that help
- Write amounts in ordinary digits (₹15,000), not Gujarati digits, so they match what the tenant sees in Google Pay or PhonePe.
- If you rent out a shop as well as a flat, these messages work for it too; just name the shop instead of the flat.
- Agree on a part-payment plan in writing, even as a one-line WhatsApp message with the amounts and dates.

Frequently asked questions
What is rent called in Gujarati?
Rent is ભાડું (bhaadu). Rent that is still due is બાકી ભાડું, and a tenant is ભાડૂઆત.
Is it rude to send a rent reminder before the due date?
No. A friendly note two or three days before is the most common way to avoid late rent, and most tenants appreciate having your UPI ID ready.
My tenant in Mumbai speaks Gujarati at home. Which version should I send?
Send the Gujarati one if they read Gujarati script comfortably. Many Gujarati families in Mumbai also read Hindi or English, so ask which they prefer.
