When a relative collects the rent for the owner
In Kerala many rented homes belong to owners in the Gulf or elsewhere abroad, and a parent, sibling or caretaker collects the rent. The receipt should still name the owner as the landlord and give the owner's PAN, so the landlord on the receipt is the person who owns the home and receives the rent. If the relative signs, the tenant should ask their payroll team whether that is enough or whether they need the owner's own signature or a letter from the owner.

What is the Malayalam word for receipt?
രസീത് (raseethu). A rent receipt is വാടക രസീത്.
Can I write the rent receipt in Manglish?
It is better not to. Malayalam typed in English letters is hard to read on a formal document. Use Malayalam script, English, or the two together as the generator prints them.
Do I need a revenue stamp if the tenant pays by UPI?
No. The ₹1 revenue stamp is only for cash payments above ₹5,000.
