Rent receipt format in Punjabi (ਕਿਰਾਏ ਦੀ ਰਸੀਦ)

A Punjabi rent receipt, ਕਿਰਾਏ ਦੀ ਰਸੀਦ, gives the tenant's and owner's names, the property address, the rent amount, the months covered, the payment mode and date, and the owner's signature. When a year's rent passes ₹1,00,000, add the owner's PAN. The generator below prints these receipts in Gurmukhi with English labels.

Receipts for an owner who lives abroad
Plenty of rented houses in Punjab, especially around Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and Kapurthala, belong to families settled in Canada, the UK or elsewhere. The receipt should still show the owner as the landlord, with the owner's PAN. If a relative signs for them, the tenant should ask their payroll team whether that is accepted or whether they need a short authorisation letter from the owner.

Is a rent receipt in Gurmukhi valid for HRA?
Tax rules do not name a language for rent receipts. If the tenant's employer asks for English, switch the generator to English and print again; the details are the same.
Does the receipt need a revenue stamp?
Only when rent above ₹5,000 is paid in cash. The generator adds a stamp box automatically in that case.
How do I write "rent received" in Punjabi?
ਕਿਰਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ, or in full on a receipt, "ਉੱਪਰ ਦੱਸੀ ਕਿਰਾਏ ਦੀ ਰਕਮ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਸਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ".
